Properties:
Yellow powder with the melting point of 135°C, relative density of 1.33, soluble in benzene, chloroform, sparingly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in water.
Uses:
Used as the accelerating agent of sulphidization of natural rubber and diolefin type of synthetic rubber with the dosage of 0.1-4 portions. It can offer longer coking time while its efficiency is lower than tetramethylthiuram disulfide and tetraethylthiuram disulfide, thus it can be used as low-sulfur or sulfur-free curing agent and solvent the coking problem of TMTD. It can be dissolved in rubber, no fog spray and low distortion in condensation.
