Properties:
White or yellowish powder with the relative density of 1.66, Practically Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and carbon tetrachloride at 25°C. Uses:
It is super accelerator for natural or synthetic rubber, and general accelerator for latex. It is particularly suitable for butyl rubber requesting minimal compression deflection and butyronitrile rubber requesting high ageing stability. It can also be used in EPT rubber. Zinc oxide should be added as activating agent and normally a little stearic acid is also needed while it is in use. While used with Accelerator DM, the more DM is used, the higher scorch resistance will be. While used with thiazole accelerator, it can improve the tensile stress at a given elongation and resilience. It is easily dispersed in rubber, so that can be used in light-color or bright-color products. It is mostly used in latex products, and can also be used in self-vulcanization rubber cement, rubber cloth, cold-vulcanized products and unedible rubber products. The normal dosage in latex compound is 0.3-1 portion.
